I've had several units here over time. The staff takes great care of the lots. I haven't had any issues that remained unmanaged. And every time I forget my code (which is frequently) they are understanding and unbothered.

Ok. I've rented from a few storage places This is the ONLY ONE that has a light or a light that works in the unit

I had began my journey in the year of 2015 I was referred by a friend and they were pleased with their business model meaning that Route 1 self storage is family owned there was a welcoming upon arrival and professionalism regarding my storage unit rental and documentation to follow was on point! It is now 2023 so I have returned to Route1 Self Storage and was please with the same professionalism that they have demonstrated in the past.The storage units are clean and well design and can more than likely accommodate your belonging. What a Great family own Business Experience!!!

I submitted a request through their site for an online quote, and Mark called me back within 30 mins of the submission and gave me a full run down on the different unit options he had available. We went to check the unit out and Mark was friendly, professional, and very helpful in helping us determine what size we should go with. The facility itself is well lit, well maintained, and they have an ample number of carts available to help with transporting things from your vehicle to your car. Thank you Mark for your assistance!

One of the managers, Mark, was extremely helpful, and called right after I placed the online reservation for the unit to confirm and answer questions. As my move got closer I realized I needed a bigger unit and he made switching really easy. The facility itself is clean and kept up well, and there's an on-site shop with moving materials. Between the excellent customer service and the facility itself, I'm really happy with everything.

I was looking for a nice, safe and clean location to store my motorcycle, when I gave this location a call. My search was over after talking with Mr. Mark. Mr. Mark made sure that everything I was looking for, I would get that at this location. So to make a long story short give Mr. Mark a call if you are looking to store your belongings.

This is the second time that we have had the need to rent some storage space and the reason that we came back is due to Mark who is the manager and Shawn. I always prefer this storage service even if its 30 minutes away from me. They are really kind and offer great deals at times. The manager is awesome to work with and is very diligent.

Great experience on both of my visits. Good, clean, tight operations all around. Only one gripe: lousy lighting in the corridors. Need to swap out awful/dim fluorescent tube lights with LED substitutes. There's really no excuse to run old tubes in a cold environment!

I went in Monday afternoon (1/20/20) to look at the various units. The Assistant Manager (Shawn) was very knowledgeable and personable. Explained all in one and outs of the facility. Asked me what I was looking to store and for how long. Made some suggestions on size and then went on to show me empty units in the various sizes available. This helped me see the dementions and just how much I could store first hand. Going to sign the lease today.

I've been a tenant of Route 1 Self Storage in Laurel, MD for almost 10 years. The facility is well maintained and clean to include the restroom available to tenants. There is also a dumpster available for tenant usage. The climate controlled unit is always warm in the winter and cool in the summers. The roof has never leaked. Recently, the entire asphalt lot was recently sealed. The staff is courteous and helpful. I have recommended many to this facility for their storage needs.

I highly recommend Route 1 Self Storage. We stored items for a business and were in and out all the time, and at all hours of the day and night. I always felt safe and that our items were secure. The few issues we did have in the 8 years we were there, were handled swiftly and thoroughly. We’re now moving into a house and need soome storage for a couple of months. Route 1 was the first and only place we’d choose!!

I saw where someone said she had mice in her unit and had gotten into he daughter's swing. I have had my things there since july 2004. I am in there a lot and I have never once seen any rodents in there

Thanks Kayla for everything Whitney Reyes here she was very helpful in getting me set up… I would like to update my review I was given two separate charges and then was told that the 5294 that was charged to my card would be going back at first. It did show that it had gone back now my refund was reversed so I’m still being charged both times so I’m trying to find out why it was re-reversed and recharged. I can show you that I’m still being charge for it if you need me to come in and show you.

This is our second time using this facility. Overall great experience. I had an issue with how I was billed so I’d suggest customers to be on top of monitoring that. I also noticed that the gate was often left open which wasn’t a major issue for me personally but might bother others. Lastly, there’s clearly a rodent issue. I don’t have food in my unit, and I think most storage units have this issue, but again might bother some.
